May 2nd: After arriving in Bakewell, I will check into my room at the Fischer's Baslow Hall, where I will be staying for 2 nights. The rest of the day will be spent getting settled and getting used to the time change. I will end the day by grabbing dinner in town.

May 3rd: After having breakfast at the hotel, I will drive 7 minutes down the road to visit the Chatsworth House. Chatsworth House is my first of six book-related stops on this trip, and it is connected to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. I will tour the house and the estate's gardens throughout the afternoon, then grab a late-lunch in town and explore the landscapes, architecture, and shops of Bakewell. I plan to grab dinner at a local pub that evening.

May 4th: After breakfast in the morning, I will check out of Fischer's Baslow Hall and make a 3-hour drive to Oxford, UK.

Climate: May in Bakewell has temperatures ranging from low 40s Fahrenheit to a high of 60 degrees. Similar to Birmingham, there is a 25% of rain and a moderate breeze throughout the day.

Culture: Bakewell has a very rich history and culture to be enjoyed by visitors. The city was founded in Anglo Saxon times, and the architecture of the area demonstrates some of this history. Bakewell is known for its arts festivals, horticulture and gardens, and many boutique restaurants and shops. It is strong community of people with many talents, and a great place for tourists to stop by and explore.
